Annie Danaher

Fine Arts Subject Area Specialist

Bend

Annie (Marianne) Danaher is the BCA High School Fine Arts/World Language Subject Area Specialist and Writing Support Specialist. She works from the Bend campus.

Annie’s post high school education started with a BA in English, French and Education and minors in Math and History from University of Portland in Portland Oregon. Later, she worked on a master’s in Psychology and an AA in Forestry. She has taught elementary school in a one room schoolhouse in Montana, middle school Math and Language Arts in Washington and high school Language Arts, French and Art in Oregon. Annie has worked as a Writing Tutor for OSU Cascades. She enjoys working with a wide variety of people and subjects.

Annie’s personal interests and hobbies are also eclectic. Early in her career, she lived in a tent, then a Quonset hut while she worked with an enthusiastic crew to build a log house in the backwoods of Montana. She designed and built her own house. For the last decade or so, she has enjoyed drawing, painting, sculpting, and writing. She loves to hike and to share meals with family and friends on the weekends
