Erin Arney

7th-8th Grade LC

Lowell

Erin is a non-traditional teacher in that she went to college at 37! She recognized that she had the gift of teaching through her years of teaching martial arts and yoga. Erin graduated from Upper Iowa University in 2016 with a Bachelor's of Education with endorsements in middle school math and science. She still considers herself a pretty new teacher in that she has experienced several educational settings on her journey to finding the right fit. Most recently, she was the Special Education teacher for the last 2 years at Triangle Lake Charter School. Her strengths are in her ability to quickly develop good rapport and her ability to really break down concepts into more understandable chunks, particularly with math.

Erin was born and raised in rural northeast Iowa. Oddly enough she has now lived in Oregon on 3 separate experiences. She moved to Eugene from Roseburg and is really enjoying the city life. Erin is single with no children. She loves animals and has successfully raised 2 Great Danes over the years. Outside of work she sings and has been in a couple of bands, loves to play cribbage, go rock hunting, hiking, exploring rivers, shopping, and yoga. Erin is really looking forward to learning how this highly-rated program works and getting to know the families and students and supporting everyone as much as she can.
