K-8 Program
BCA's K–8 program combines learning at home with regular opportunities to connect on campus. Families partner with licensed teachers while students learn at their own pace, build friendships, and participate in meaningful learning experiences throughout the school year.
How It Works

Learn at Home
Students learn at home using a personalized learning plan designed around their pace, interests, and family schedule.

Attend Weekly Cohort
Once a week, students come together on campus for cohort (hands-on learning and time with friends). Monday Exploration Day is an optional enrichment day.

Get Support All Year
Your Learning Coordinator partners with your family throughout the year with guidance, encouragement, and personalized support.
Weekly Cohort
Cohort day is the highlight of the week! Students attend a 3-hour cohort on our Lowell campus for instruction from their Learning Coordinator, hands-on projects, and time to connect with friends.

Approved secular curriculum and educational resources may be purchased with student allotment funds. Faith-based curriculum is not eligible for allotment funding.
Student Allotment
Every K–8 student receives an annual $800 learning allotment to support their personalized learning plan. Families submit purchase or reimbursement requests through the Family Portal. Approved educational expenses—including curriculum, books, lessons, tutoring, classes, technology, and other learning opportunities—may be covered through the allotment. These are just a few common examples. Your Parent Liaison can answer questions and help guide you through the approval process.

Every family builds a schedule that fits their learning goals and lifestyle. Here are a few examples of how different families might organize their week.

Math (4 days/week): Using popular choices like Math with Confidence or RightStart Mathematics to build strong foundational skills through quick daily lessons and math games.
