K-8 Program

Our K–8 program is available on our Bend and Lowell Campus. Weekly cohorts have a 1:12 teacher-student ratio. Grade bands include Kindergarten, 1st-2nd grade, 3rd-4th grade, 5th-6th grade and 7th-8th grade.

Planned Course of Study

A BCA Curriculum Coordinator will partner with you to create and pace an adaptive, rigorous and motivating Planned Course of Study for your student focusing on learning style, interests, and academic goals. 



Enrolled students have access to licensed teachers, a spectrum of quality curriculum options, technology, assessments and an $800 allotment account to assist with educational purchases.



Students attend an engaging, project-based learning experience with their Learning Coordinator and classmates for 3 hours every week. Cohort class sizes are 12 students and grouped Kinder, 1-2, 3-4, 5-6. 7-8.


Additional Services

BCA's Growth Team are specialized instructors available for students struggling to make sufficient progress. SPED and 504 Coordinators are also available to discuss options. 

Field Trips & Extracurriculars

BCA offers multiple field trip opportunities throughout the year to destinations like museums, zoos, aquariums and more! Students can participate in extracurricular lessons, classes, clubs, and other groups.

Parent Child/Sibling Childcare

BCA offers childcare services for siblings of enrolled students for 2 years - pre-k. Parents who use the childcare are required to remain on campus. 


K-8 Program Requirements for the 22/23 School Year:

  • Daily attendance check-ins

  • Cohort attendance (3hrs per week)

  • 1:1 Zoom meeting with Learning Coordinator (LC) every other week (30min)

  • Planned Course of Study (approved by parent/Learning Coordinator/Curriculum Coordinator)

  • Yearly pacing guide (entered in 9-week increments, stock pacing guides available)

  • Daily instruction at home that follows the students Planned Course of Study and pacing guide)

  • EasyCBM & i-Ready Testing (x3 a year)

  • 2 work samples per quarter (Science samples due quarters 1 and 2, Social Studies samples due quarters 3 and 4)

  • 2 Writing samples per year (completed in cohort)

  • Review the Weekly Email (sent every Monday at 2 pm)

  • State Testing (3rd-8th, 11th grade)

  • Extra Growth Team support if the student is below grade level


BCA has limited virtual K-8 enrollment seats for 22-23 School Year.
