BCA Staff Details

Matt Shumski is thrilled to be a part of BCA! Matt grew up in rural Pennsylvania where he discovered a love of the outdoors and learning. Combining his experience, creativity, and knowledge, Matt is a passionate educator who partners with families to create meaningful experiences and challenge students to think critically. A deep respect for home-based education and personalized learning drive his commitment to BCA. While studying abroad in Rome, he graduated with a BS in Secondary Education and a BA in History from Temple University in 2011. In 2022, he graduated with a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from the University of Oregon. In his free time, Matt enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, reading, listening to podcasts, and great conversation.
